South Platte Community Wildfire Protection Plan

A Cooperative Approach to Managing Both Private and Public Lands

The Colorado State Forest Service, Denver Water and the USDA Forest Service developed a Historic photo of the South Platte WatershedCommunity Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) that encourages private landowners to take an interest and become involved in managing their lands to protect against wildfire. A strong partnership among private landowners cooperating with one another and with public agencies will help sustain forest health and natural resources and ultimately contribute to the well-being of each community.
